Default What Are the Teaching Opportunities Today?

When I graduated college in 1973 I had joined Phi Sigma Tau, had a 3.8 avg in philosphy, my major, but there were absolutely no college teaching opportunities available, so I did not try to get into Brown University for an MA but went into another field instead. But I wonder what it is like nowadays, e.g. teaching opportunities and openings in colleges around the United States? Thanks in advance for any updates.....
